I decided to go this place as the reviews were good and I like the fact it’s an independent cafe and they make homemade food. I also like that it is a come deli shop too and they also sell other things like local free range eggs and some healthy snacks. The deli items were interesting I’ve never seen gourmet popcorn I thought that was quite cool, they also had sauces, jams and other bits.

God I’m so sorry about the rubbish photos!

The chalk boards around the place were funky although there was quite a few! The breads in the baskets gave a quite rustic and traditional feel and there was a selection of different types of bread including ciabatta (I’m not sure if these are homemade? but they did look freshly baked). The cakes in the cooler display cabinet looked aaaamazing I wish I could have had one, there was this yummy blueberry and lemon cake filled with whole blueberries. They also had a range of other cakes including ginger cake, Eccles cake very yorkshire! I’m sure that these cakes where homemade.

We went there for brunch and I ordered the veg breakfast and a latte. As I couldn’t eat eggs the lady asked would I like to have something to replace that so I choose to have extra mushrooms. I was happy she asked that question without me requesting it, good service.

My friend ordered the full english without the black pudding (which is not surprising lol!)

The difference with my veg breakfast was that it included Welsh rarebit which I’ve never seen on a full english menu before.

My latte was nice and frothy and the coffee was good quality. The food did take a while to come but we didn’t mind waiting at least we know it was freshly made and to order.

I don’t think my food looked that appealing as there wasn’t the egg which wasn’t they’re fault, it did make it look a bit more drab in a way! however the food was plentiful and I didn’t manage to finish it all. The welsh rabbit for me needed more flavour and same with the mushrooms but I do think that my taste buds are slightly different and I need more flavour generally. I do think it was lacking veg sausages and it could have done with a hash browns(as I love them for breaky) or something similar, this would have made the veg breakfast more subtantiable??.

My friend liked her full english and seemed to enjoy the fact the food wasn’t greasy which was true with mine as my mushrooms wasn’t greasy too.

The staff were really polite and I liked the deli part of the cafe. I looked at the lunch menu and liked the fillings they had for the sandwiches some which were different to the norm so this would be the ideal place to come for lunch. They also had a soup for the day. I seen a few people come in for takeaway sandwiches for lunch which seemed really popular.

I would like to come here again for a quick lunch and try some of the sandwiches and cakes.
