I do have an obsession with peanut butter and oats. These aren’t just overly addictive and moreish BUT so quick and easy to make. I love the middle thick layer of chocolate and peanut butter so if you are a peanut butter fan, the added chocolate is peanut butter but so much more!

No bake peanut butter oat bars

A delcious crunchy, oats, peanuty bar

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz Butter
  • 4 oz Light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanila extract
  • pinch salt
  • 1 tbsp Golden syrup
  • 10 oz Oats
  • 3 oz chocolate
  • 6 oz Peanut butter

Instructions
 

  • 1. Line and grease a 8" square tin.
    2. In a saucepan add the butter and sugar. Heat over a medium heat for 4-5 minutes until the mixture begins to bubble. Then add the salt, golden syrup, vanilla extract, oats and mix.
    3. Press half of the mixture into the bottom of the tin and smooth it out, then place in the fridge.
    4. Meanwhile make the chocolate layer. In a microwable bowl add the chocolate and the peanut butter and heat in 20 second intervals until the mixture is melted.
    5. Spread 3/4 of the chocolate mixture over the oat base.
    6. Press the rest of the oat mixture over the chocolate layer and drizzle the top with the remaining chocolate/peanut butter mix.
    7. Chill in the fridge for 2-3 hours and cut into squares. Keep in a fridge for up to 2 weeks in a sealed container.
