I ended up testing it out and had a big heaped teaspoon just like you do!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I used this recipe to make banoffee cheesecakes and also made some apple and cinnamon muffins. Caramel is so versatile is can be used in a number of things also it&#8217;s great for topping on ice-cream.<br \/>\n<a class=\"blog-yumprint-ingredient-item\" yumprintitem=\"0\" itemprop=\"ingredients\">1\/2 cup \u2013 double cream at room temperature (you just need to buy a small pot)<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-ingredient-item\" yumprintitem=\"1\" itemprop=\"ingredients\">1 cup \u2013 sugar (I used normal granulated sugar)<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-ingredient-item\" yumprintitem=\"2\" itemprop=\"ingredients\">60g \u2013 butter<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-ingredient-item\" yumprintitem=\"3\" itemprop=\"ingredients\">1\/4 cup \u2013 water<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-ingredient-item\" yumprintitem=\"4\" itemprop=\"ingredients\">pinch of salt<\/li>\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t<div class=\"blog-yumprint-method-section\" yumprintsection=\"1\">\t\t\t<div class=\"blog-yumprint-subheader\">Instructions<\/div>\t\t\t<ol class=\"blog-yumprint-methods\" itemprop=\"recipeInstructions\">\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-method-item\" yumprintitem=\"0\">1. In a non-stick pan add sugar and water, let it cook on medium heat until the color turns golden brown(try not to let it burn for a lighter caramel keep an eye on it). When the color changes swirl the pan so the caramel cook evenly.<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-method-item\" yumprintitem=\"1\">2. Turn of heat. Add the butter and whisk until butter dissolves.<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-method-item\" yumprintitem=\"2\">3. Add the cream while whisking, (careful, it will splash a bit) then add pinch of salt.<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-method-item\" yumprintitem=\"3\">4. Transfer to a jar and let it cool then store in the fridge (it will keep for 3 weeks).<\/li>\t\t\t<\/ol>\n\t\t<\/div>\t\t<div class=\"blog-yumprint-note-section\" yumprintsection=\"2\">\t\t\t<div class=\"blog-yumprint-subheader\">Notes<\/div>\t\t\t<ol class='blog-yumprint-notes'>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-note-item\" yumprintitem=\"0\">The caramel can take up to 20-25 mins to cook, it's whenever it decides to be dissolve and be good! it does take a bit of time.<\/li>\t\t\t\t<li class=\"blog-yumprint-note-item\" yumprintitem=\"1\">Cleaning the pan can be a bit of a nightmare! but it's alllllll worth it, I suggest to leave it to soak.
